We are making a few changes to our league structure and we are excited to tell you about them!
As you probably know, we recently re-aligned our seasons to match up with the major WSOP circuit events in Cherokee. One of our goals as a league is to send more and more members to Cherokee to compete in the WSOP events. To help achieve this, we are making a few more changes to our league structure.
After much consideration we have decided to eliminate the yearly championship tournament. Don’t worry, we are reallocating 100% of the prize pool into other events. We are adding prize money into the Grand Championship each season and we are introducing a new seasonal special event called the “PLO Invitational”.
Grand Championship prize pool increase – We are adding $716 in prize money to the Seasonal Grand Championship which includes a second WSOP seat awarded to the 2nd place finisher The new payouts will be: 1st – $550 WSOP seat + $150 travel + $99 VIP membership. 2nd – $365 WSOP seat / $75 travel. 3rd – $250. 4th – $150 and 5th – $50
The “PLO Invitational” is a new special event we are adding to our roster. It will be held at the end of each season and to quality you need to finish in the top 8 at any PLO venue. This event will start out with a $200 prize pool and award an APC Silver coin. We are the only club in Georgia to offer PLO games and we hope to continue to add more to our schedule.
So, those are the changes you can look forward to starting this season. The increase in payouts for the Grand starts now! At the end of this season you can play for bigger payouts and a seat in our first ever PLO Invitational!
