Danny Millender has lived in Atlanta for twelve years. Danny is originally from Chicago and is the youngest of two children. He had never played poker before he joined the Atlanta Poker Club.
How long have you played with the APC?
I think about 2 years. I wanted to learn how to play poker after watching Texas Hold’em on television, and so I went on Google for local poker leagues and found the Atlanta Poker Club.
How much have you been playing lately?
I play about 4 times a week. I always try to learn or pick up something new every time I play, or maybe work on fixing a mistake I made in a previous game.
Who is your favorite poker player?
Phil Ivey is my favorite pro. And Squadusch (Steve Quach) is my favorite APC player.
What are your goals in the APC?
To win the Grand Championship, the APC $10,000 Main Event, and the Tournamnet of Champions.
Advice for new players?
They should take advice from other players that they think are good players. Don’t just listen to any player at the table.
How did it feel to win the prestigious AllStars Tournament?
It felt great! A really good feeling, and it took about two days for it to really sink in and it was a good accomplishment.
For the most part I really enjoy playing in the Atlanta Poker Club. There are a lot of good players in this league, and it gives me a chance to work on my poker skills and to try out different strategies.
