APC 2016 Updates and League Modifications
These are the upcoming league modifications we have implemented. We think that you as the players are going to love these changes! The following changes to our seasons will align our special events with Cherokee, allowing the players to no longer have to choose to play in our championships or head up to Cherokee to play in the WSOP instead.
Season Re-alignment
Goal: We want to align our seasons to match up with the big circuit events taking place in Cherokee throughout the year.
Overview: With a shift forward of 1 month of our Season’s starting dates we accomplish the goal of aligning our seasons with the desirable events in Cherokee for many of our players.
New Season Structure:
•Spring Season – March 1st – June 30th
•Summer Season – July 1st – October 31st
•Winter Season – November 1st – February 29th
Spring Season:
•Start Date: 3/1
•End Date: 6/30
•Venue Championship Week Begins: 7/8 (second week due to the holiday on the 4th)
•Grand Championship: 7/23 (WSOP National Championships)
WSOP National Championships: July through the beginning of August.
Summer Season:
•Start Date:7/1
•End Date: 10/31
•Venue Championship Week Begins: 11/1
•Grand Championship: (WSOP Circuit events)
WSOP Circuit events : November through the first week of December.
Winter Season:
•Start Date:11/1
•End Date: 2/29
•Venue Championship Week: 3/1
•Grand Championship: TBD (WSOP Circuit events)
WSOP Circuit Events: Mid-April through first of May
APC “One Time Short Season”:
•Start Date: 12/1/15
•End Date: 2/29/16
•Championship Week: 3/1
•Grand Championship: TBD
We will re-align seasons:
We are implementing a one time “short season” that lasts for three months instead of four. The short season will be a one time thing only. It will begin on December 1st 2015 and run through February 29th, 2016. Spring Season will begin on March 1st, 2016.
