Andy ” DaculaJones”JonesMember since – April 2004 Total Wins – 9 APC Tournament Director |
Andy Jones has been with the Atlanta Poker Club since Season 1. At the first APC event he attended, he was the 69th alternate and didn’t get in. The next week he came early and was only the 15th alternate. That was enough to get him in and also get him to a final table. After a season as just a player, Andy became an APC staff member, starting out as a dealer and then moving up to Tournament Director. Even with his staff duties, he was still able to qualify for all but one Season Championship and made 2 final tables. Andy also went on the annual migration to Tunica, MS in January 2007 and cashed in his first ever WSOP event.
Favorite Poker Pro? Howard Lederer and Phil Ivey.
Who has influenced your play the most? A lot of APC players – But to name a handful, Jeff Healan, Bob Mahan, T Vue, Lee Raddick, Chris Miles.
What else do you want to accomplish with the APC? Take the APC colors to a WSOP final table.
And to say at a poker table, “ Raise…4 Million”.
Any advice for new members joining the APC? If you’re looking for the closest thing to a real casino experience and want to improve your play at a live poker table, than there is no better place in Atlanta to go than the APC.
And, you are never as good of a poker player as you think you are. Never stop learning.
