Last NFL season we introduced the one week fantasy football contests and a small APC fantasy football league to go along with it. This year we are doing it again and want more APC’ers to join us! This is a fun, small side competition for those of us who love fantasy football. All are welcome to join, it’s free.

How the APC one-week fantasy football league works.

We play the one week fantasy NFL leagues at DraftKings.com. They begin with Thursday night football, play through the weekends game, and finish up with the Monday night game.

Fantasy Football at DraftKings is unique in that you draft a BRAND NEW team each and every week under a salary cap. APC Members – Click Here To Join and Play. No deposit is required however the minimum deposit is only $10 and real money games start at a quarter, in addition to the weekly freeroll. On DK there is no trading of players, no dropping or adding players, no waiver work and no huge time commitment in order to play. You might have Peyton Manning as your QB one week and Tom Brady the next. You have no ties to players whatsoever. All you have to do is build a team under the salary cap and enter it into the contest.

We will update scores shortly after lunch on Wednesdays for the previous weeks games. Scores not submitted before 2:00pm EST on Wednesdays will be voided.

We are playing this way because:

You can play on your own time, on your schedule, without requiring the actions of others.
People can not collude to stack one team by doing shady trades or other shenanigans.
DraftKings manages everything. Payouts, scoring, contest creation. We just play and record results for APC specific competitions.
Less time commitment. You can play when you want, independent of everyone else.
The league is not ruined by owners giving up and quitting during the middle of the season.
You can join at any point in the NFL season and have a chance at winning the big prize for the APC league(6 mo APC VIP).
Miss a week(s)? No problem, still can compete and win the next one. You are not at a disadvantage.
You can win free money at DraftKings, and have a free shot at some APC goodies as well

How To Join DraftKings And Play In The APC League

Create an account at DraftKings – This is 100% free to do, no deposit required. Use promo code FREAK so the Atlanta Poker Club gets credit for referring you. If you do deposit they offer a 100% match to $600. You can read my DraftKings review for more info on this top fantasy sports site.
Join the weekly freeroll here. This is a free entry contest with real money and or prizes added by DraftKings. You can also play in other qualified games (real money and $50k salary cap).
Compete – The contest last until Monday Night Football is over. This part is hands free as you automatically rack up points as your players perform on the field.
Submit your highest team score here – no later than 2pm EST on Wednesdays.

APC League Rules

The fantasy contest on DraftKings must utilize the $50k Salary Cap (the standard) and be a NFL contest.
The fantasy contest must be either the weekly free-roll or a real money contest.
Submit your highest score for the week
You may enter as many line-up’s as you wish on DraftKings, but only your top score can be submitted for the APC league.
Scores must be submitted before Wednesdays at 2:00PM EST. No exceptions.

In a nutshell, we are playing a submit your highest score of the week league. You can play as many line-ups as you want as long as they are either real money contests or the weekly real money or prize free roll they offer. Draft Kings has a $0.25 Quarter Arcade contest every week that you can enter multiple line-up’s in for a quarter each.

What Can You Win:

Here is what you are competing for in the APC Fantasy Football League:

Beat the bosses. If you can beat Spry, Fuller and Erin for that week you win APC Gear (hat, shirt, visor or whatever gear we have in stock at APC headquarters).
Highest score for the week. Wins 500 bonus chip coupon + entry into APC Online Poker Game (transferred to your online poker account).
Highest one week score over the course of the entire season wins a 6 month APC VIP.

You can also win whatever cash or prize is put up by Draft Kings each week in the freeroll.
