Favorite Poker Player – joe haschem – because of his patience and ability to lay down the big hands.
Who has influenced your play the most? – Travis and Karen Brooks. Travis because he took me under his wing and taught me a lot about what hadns to play and when to raise and when to limp in and when to fold. and karen has an innate ability to know what someone has when they are beat….by their bet or other things and when to lay down the hands when you are beat.
how has your game changed since you started? early on had no patience. it is a game of patience and if you are playing 2 or 3 hands an hour. early on i tried to see every flop and that doesn’t work. much more patient and waiting on the big hands and knowing when to call a min raise when on the blinds and it is just a relaxing game.
Goals in the APC? – want to win one of the yearlys and also win that tournament of champions. have to be able to play more and time i get to play now i value even more. work family and entertainment is a balance.
Advice for new players? – learn all you can learn from the older players and if someone is willing to offer you advice take it. and it is a game of patience.
How did it feel to win the prestigious All Star Tournament? – it was surreal. at first i was in disbelief and then elated that i took it down. went to final table with 900 in chips and came back and won.
