Just be in the top 20 on either Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday at EastSide Station from now through Thursday, October 21st, and compete in the tournament on Saturday, October 23rd. Separate leaderboard will be posted at end of first week of play. This location in Snellville is easy to find. It sits on top of a hill, so just look up to find it and enjoy a location that is really glad to have you! The owner goes out of his way to make the players feel comfortable and to offer exciting prizes.

The APC has added Diamond Dave’s in Kennesaw to our venue locations. It plays three nights a week – Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays. What’s unique about this venue is that Diamond Dave’s has an in-house league and is giving APC players a chance to play against their best in a tournament giving away flat screen TVs. Imagine playing in a great location, eating delicious food, meeting new players, and becoming eligible to win a flat screen for doing what you enjoy! If you know any players in that area, please ask them to give this venue a try!

Barlow’s in Tucker has added Tuesday nights to their Saturday night lineup! Located on a slight hill with a huge Taco Mac sign to mark the spot, it has really changed for the better since its last owners and offers a great menu and poker specials.

October Monthly Leaderboard
We’re sorry Pirate Pub closed their doors. Lots of great memories at that venue. The good thing is they played enough times so players earned a spot in the Grand Championship and the Points Leader for each night earned an All Star spot. Didn’t work that way for Savannah Seafood Company. Location was the big factor and couldn’t get off the ground but the top 10 players are eligible for the Short Season Championship in Fall Season ’10. Crowe’s Nest is also not playing, and their top 10 are eligible for the Short Season Championship in Fall Season ’10.

Nightmare of the week – you have a pair of kings. The board has 2, 2, 2 and you are good. . .your competition shows A, K. . .you have the happy feet thing. . .turn is a nothing card. . .river has a 2. . .oops!
There is a full table of 10 players. Blinds are 200 – 400. You look at K, J in first position. It is your favorite hand. . .or not. You are thinking raise even though K, J is not considered a strong hand especially not in first position. Point is. . .you have 9 players to follow you. Any one of them can push over the top all-in. Are you willing to call for all your chips? If not, fold and stay out of trouble.
