How long have you played with the APC?
Since 2006. Main reason I started playing with the APC is that I knew how to play poker, and had played in casinos, but I wanted to hang with my son (Jimmy Johnson), and he dealt for the APC and then I started playing regularly. Played at other clubs, but they had so many donkeys and I wanted to play with a club that played more casino style poker and better quality type play. When I started with the APC I was known as Jimmy’s Dad, and now I’m known as All-In Pats husband.
How much have you been playing lately?
Probably play an average of 2 to 3 times a week.
Who is your favorite poker player?
Really enjoy watching Phil Ivey…just his quiet demeanor and goes about his business with no trash talking.
What are your goals in the APC?
My original goal was to win a major tournament. I had won silver coins…a Monthly…and the AllStars Tournament win was a highlight. Now I would like to win a Grand Championship or the seat to the World Series of Poker.
Advice for new players?
Learn to have some patience and play often!
How did it feel to win the prestigious All Star Tournament?
It was a thrill! A big thrill! I wasn’t one of the big stacks early and it was a grind. I played one big hand and that gave me the hope that I might make it to the final table. And a lot of players stayed around to cheer and that made me feel good and it was a big thrill!
