WSOP Circuit EventsA World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit Event is coming to Cherokee in April.

Here is the WSOP Circuit Events Schedule

WSOP in Harrah’s Cherokee is April 4 – April 15.

Here is a list of the tournaments to be played each day

For those players who have not played at a casino, here are a few tips: (By the way, being sent to the rail means you have to get off the table and step away to the rail, usually escorted by the Tournament Director for a complete round of the button. Your blinds are being put in without you.)

*You can’t drop the f-bomb at the table. First time is a warning, and second time is most often a penalty. That applies in tournament play, and in cash if you continue using the f-bomb, the dealer will not deal to you or may put you off the table.
*When in a tournament, do not show your cards to any other player (whether they have folded or not), the dealer, or to anyone else whether in the tournament or not. This can be a costly mistake with a penalty for a complete round and when the blinds are high this is a deadly mistake.
*Don’t talk incessantly at the table during a tournament. The more you annoy the other players with your descriptions of the game, your expert knowledge of the game, their bad play, how much fun you are having, all of your previous bad beats, etc., the more the rest of the table will come after you to put you out of the tournament…and contrary to your expert skill, they will succeed.
*In a cash game, the money on the table stays on the table. Don’t take off that $100 bill you just won or some of your chips and put them in your pocket. All money on the table plays until you pick up and leave.
*In tournaments don’t overly celebrate a win by jumping up and down and exclaiming how you knew it was going to happen and shouting. A penalty could follow for a round off the table.
*In a cash game it is customary to tip the dealer if you win a pot. In a tournament if you cash, it is customary to leave the dealers a tip from the amount you won minus your entry fee, and players often leave up to 10% of their winnings. All dealers in a tournament split the money left by the winners.

In a tournament, if a dealer calls you on any action you make, this is the most helpful hint: don’t argue and say you are sorry whether you are or not. If you argue, the dealer, at their discretion, will call over the Tournament Director, and most often, you will be put on the rail.

Listen carefully to the instructions before a tournament. The instructions are usually the same as the APC tournament rules. Just be careful of texting when in a live hand, and step away from the table for phone calls.

You casino newbies will catch on fast, and we hope you have a great time and have only the greatest experiences!
